What the title says. Looking for headers that will give the AC evap case and stock brake line location the most space. The brake lines wouldn't matter so much but the bleeders are stuck in the front calipers and removing the lines to reroute them would mean replacing at the very least the front calipers.

Re: Which headers give the brake lines/AC evap case the most clearance?

I just put a set of Headmen 68470 1 5/8" headers on my 1987 Camaro. They don't seem to give much clearance. I had to bend the heater line under the evap case out of the way. On the drivers side I had to bend the brake lines out of the way. No problem with starter fitment.

I had a set of unknown headers on my 1985 and they actually fit really well compared to these. They were only 1 1/2" tubes though. Maybe they were flowtech brand?

I've currently got those same Heddman headers, minus the powdercoating - my problem is that the ball-and-socket joint is a different size for both parts and, with an adapter in place, the y-pipe doesn't line up with the rest of the exhaust. It's such a tight fit anyway that I'm just getting a different set. That second set is definitely flowtech, though - I've heard bad things about the machining on the flanges (though to be honest the set I got from Heddman was pretty bad too) but if they're the best fit I may go with them anyway. It's only a mild 305 so it's not the end of the world it they don't flow the best, pretty much anything will be better than the stock exhaust logs.

Dyno Don's fit and clear everything. Spendy but hand made by a Craftsman here in the US.

Only problem there is the three-month lead time. I may go for those later on, but I'd like to not run with open headers for three months.
