My buddy has a cousin who is willing to sell me some edelbrock headers that are coated...in everyones opinion, should i buy them from him or order a set from slp or hooker or something like that. He didnt give me a price but hes rebuilding his camaro and is parting em out. What do you think?

IMO, it depends heavily on the price. If you can get them for less than $200, then go for it. If he wants more than that for it, then there's better headers out there for that kind of money.

Are they factory coated? If they are the coating is usually ****. I made the mistake of getting the hooker headers that had the factory coating and ended up spending 40 to get it sand blasted off then put in about 4hrs of coating them myself. Just something to think about.
