Headers to stock exhaust.

I've been working on my firebird for a few years now, and am swapping out the stock motor for a built 350. Last year I had to replace the exhaust pipe because it rusted out, I'm wondering if there's a Y-pipe that will hook up to shorty headers and my stock exhaust pipe. I know that there isn't any reason to keep the stock pipe aside from it being almost brand new. If anyone has done something similar, I'd love to know what combo you used.

Thanks

Re: Headers to stock exhaust.

Most good headers back in the day came with a y pipe and hooked to factory exhaust.

Re: Headers to stock exhaust.

If you know which brand headers you have, that could make it easier to know what to look for.

Most shorties came with a y-pipe that was specifically for them. Or the brand had a y-pipe available for them separately.

Re: Headers to stock exhaust.

Headers and y-pipe are a matched set. You cannot mix and match stock with aftermarket sets.
