PROS:
The best sounding car I've ever hear. I get complements all the time.
I can't get enough of this exhaust, It just sounds so good in person.
looks very good, very Stockcar like
Super lightweight at under 23lbs total.
CONS:
Horrible ground clearance (about 4in off the ground)
Spintech mufflers Like to drone at certain RPMs.
I will be installing Quarter wave resonators over the winter to remove the drone.
Lots of heat under the passenger seat.
Lotta noise being transferred to the interior due to the muffler placement.
not cheap
can burn passenger's feet as they get in the car.
SCCA DBA chiefs have me at 95 DBA at 50ft, VERY close to failing sound requirements. (96dba max)
So basically not a street car exhaust for sure.
Spintech 3000 3in round in, 3in oval out + Vibrant bullet mufflers.
the exits
stainless welds and pretty colors. finished product spintech 3000 + vibrant 9in long bullet mufflers. back purged pretty stainless and cobalt welds
a tight fit along the body and Holley crossmember. custom mounts my brother made on a CNC lazer years ago. tight fit before the cuts were made the brace I welded on actually cracked after 200+ autocross runs, had to reweld it.
I enjoyed this video the other day. It was interesting watching the care and attention you put into it. One question though: why put the V-bands *after* the bullet mufflers, vs V bands at the collector, and then the rest of the exhaust in one piece?
