Catalytic converter

Hello just purchased a 1986 Iroc with a 305 fuel injected can I eliminate the catalytic converter is it needed thanks in advance

You can eliminate it.

Know that it'll be noticeably louder all the time, and stinky. If you don't care about polluting the air and smelling stinky stink...give'r hell.

If you live in a state that has even just a visual smog inspection, the cat con will be required equipment.

I didn’t see an o2 sensor I just remember back in the day people used to remove them and I don’t want to put this one on and it be shot so I guess I’ll drop $200 on a new 1 thanks

Your car has an o2 sensor of it wouldn't run. It's in the driver side exhaust manifold.

The O2 sensor has nothing to do with the cat. It'll run just the same, cat or no cat.
