I am rebulding the 5.7 in my GTA. Can I put SLP headers on the engine then put it in the car. I am putting the engine and trany in as one pc.

 

Ooooh, its way tougher to put the tranny and engine in together. I put my passenger side header on, then lowered the engine in (without the trans) then slipped in the driver's side header just before the engine sat down in the motor mounts.

 

In a past post almost everyone told me it was best to pull and replace the engine- trans as a pair.

 

Its only easier if you have a manual transmission. Automatics are a pain to drop in with the engine. Just my .02
