not a good idea. too little back pressure to be effective. however the cheapest way to do it would be cut your exhaust off before your catalytic converter and call it good.

You can buy a section of straight pipe up to 3 1/2in. diameter at practically any auto parts shop in town. (ie. pep boys, auto zone etc.)

BamaZ28: you got a good deal. My local muffler/repair shop wouldnt even cut it out for me. I told them I would cut it out if they would just finish it from there out the back and still wouldnt do it. I had to cut it out myself and put a pipe in, made my car alot louder and I love it.
TransAm87: I have seen different size "replacement" pipe at Pepboys, never checked Autozone but they have everything and could probably find some for you.

they cut the cat off and put the pipe in... but they won't touch dual exhaust... the closest i've found is 150 miles away but they want like 700 bucks... i figure i can get the pipe bent and i can weld up myself...
