Header Questions

i am doing a motor swap on my 92 rs, i am pulling the stock tbi 305 and dropping in a carb 350. Will the stock manifolds bolt up, i have heard that my 305 heads have a different bolt pattern or may be only 7 bolts. Could i buy say hooker super comps for a 350 camaro and bolt them up or ??????. What are my options ?

They'll bolt right up, but I wouldn't put LO3 manifolds on a 350. They're restrictive enough as it is on a 305. You should just go ahead and get headers for the 350 before you drop the motor in. It'll be easier to install, and you'll get more power out of it. If you can't afford it at the moment (motor swaps can get expensive), then at least get some TPI manifolds.

Oh no i didnt plan on bolting the stock manifolds to my motor i just spent ALOT of money building, i was just making shure i didnt have to by some special swap headers. i was thinking about going with Hooker super comp longs and 3" the rest of the way back. So 1 more question....... What headers come with the y pipe and make POWER, but wont kill my budget. The $700 slp headers are out of my range right now.

Sorry for all the questions but i am trying to get this swap to go as smooth as possible.

Thanks for all your help.

Oh, I guess it was the way your question was written.. lol. I don't know of any LTs that come with a y-pipe, but on the other hand, the LTs are cheaper to have a custom pipe made for because all the funky bends to get some pipe up to the motor are not there.
