Edlebrock headers
Edlebrock headers
I bought the edelbrock tes headers a few weeks ago and sand blasted them yesterday. I was going to paint them in the next few days but have a few questions. Has anyone used the por-15 header paint? Second question is what other prep work should I do to avoid rust in the next few days and in the future? And finally should I do a quick rub down with some type of solvent just before painting? I ordered the paint a few days ago and it should be here by this weekend. Thanks for any input.......

It is best to sandblast as late as possible before the first coat of paint goes on.
Rub them all down with laquer thinner and let them dry just before painting. Use latex gloves while handling to protect your hands and so you don't even get skin oil on them.
