Exhaust Idea - Opinions
Alright, I discovered a potential crack in my muffler so I have an excuse for a new exhaust
Here's the order in which the mods will occur:
Hooker cat-back system
Remove catalytic converter (test pipe)
ZZ4 engine (or other modded 350)
SLP headers
Does this sound like a good combo? Based on what a lot of people say on here, the Hooker cat-back and the SLP headers seem to be quite good... I want to stay away from Flowmaster because they're too plentiful.
I don't want my car sounding too loud, but I want it to be a fair amount louder than stock (at least when idling). I've heard reports of people not being satisfied with a Hooker cat-back and gutted cat together (too loud?). So, what do you think?

I've got the exact exhaust you are talking about, I just installed it this past weekend. It sounds incredible. Outside the car, idle is deep and throaty while WOT is nice and loud, but not blaring. At a steady cruise, there is no resonance inside the car. I definitely recommend both Hooker and SLP. Just make sure if you do the install yourself, get the install kit and cat adapter, even if you don't have a cat. That way you won't have to take it to an exhaust shop to finish it up. Good luck!!
