Mr. Gasket Copperseal header gaskets
Has anyone had trouble getting Mr. G's Copperseal gaskets to seal the center exhaust tubes of their headers? I was told these are the "best you can get" but have had trouble getting them to seal on both sides of the engine (TPI 305).
I am going back to a more tried and true conventional gasket, but wanted to know if there was some special way to put them on.
Thanks for any inputs!

I had a problem with them as well. I bought fel pro manifold gaskets and that solved the problem. Its a 6 piece set (one for each group of exhaust ports 1,2,1) they only cost me like 12 bucks or so and they work better than the $60 copper ones
definately recommend them, sorry i don't have a p/n

Cooperseal Gaskets
I removed the Copperseals after trying several methods of torquing the headers. Close inspection revealed that the embossed ridge between the center ports would not seal. I replaced them with steel core "paper style" gaskets and Permatex Copper gasket sealer and it has done the trick. I am not sure why I could not get them to seal. Maybe it is the design of the Hooker Shorties or the 5.0 head itself. I checked both for straightness prior to installation and they appeared to be ok. Maybe when the headers are torgued they distort slightly.
Thanks for your inputs guys!
