Will any shop install headers without AIR?

I want to get headers and I do not want to do it myself but I was wondering if any shop would install them without AIR. I want a cleaner engine bay and SLP headers. The coated ones with AIR are to much but coated without AIR are reasonable. I will have a cat but i will buy one that is just three inches in/out.

dont count on it... Tampering w/ any part of the emmisions system is a federal offense and this means big fines if shops do this.

I was afriad of that. I didn't think AIR was really emissions just a stupid GM thing. So my next quaetion is. Will an exhaust shop install a legal header with AIR. When I got my cat-back on my car the guys said "that exhaust is just way to big for that car...but we'll do it"
I was like "ok..just do it" I am looking for a shop that will do it. Even a performance place said "we've had install problems with those cars and we lose a lot in labor" I can't find anyone that will say "yes I will do it." I don't really trust places like goodyear and minake (spelling?).

dude I had headers w/ AIR tubes, I took a hacksaw and cut them off then I drove to the exhaust shop to get a y-pipe and have them weld up the holes left from the AIR tube. just go find a custom exhaust shop and there really shouldn't be a problem

oh and MA has some really strict emission rules and I had no problems with it

I took the AIR tubes off myself and then bought brass plugs at Autozone and screwed them in the holes. Cost me about $8.00.

Come to Canada!!!! You can do whatever the hell ya want up here and ya dont gotta worry one bit about emissions
The exhaust shops here expect you to want your cat taken off and replaced with a peice of pipe instead of buying a new cat. But i guess you all just cant move up here now can you. Anyway why would ya want to pay double for everything from the states OH WELL money was meant to be spent

Yeah, SOME exhaust shops will do the work for you. It just depends on the owner/company. If you do find one, bring cash, and do not expect a receipt!!
