take the original dual tail pipes off your 3rd gen's transverse 80 series or whatever u have and put new duals on there that go straight back and are angle cut the sound level and quality goes up significantly weirdly enough....... i just did it and my car sounds a lot better and looks better as well....... its a good mod...... just thought id share my joy

 

i think it's b/c the stock duals point down and that directs the sound at the ground instead of straight back...... maybe
