Exhaust system

Hi guys!
Just bought a MINT 83 firebird with GM 350 crate motor.and im thinking on re-doi the exhaust. Here is what i think im gonna do, tell me what ya think

Hedman Headers(shorties,no O2 sensor or AIR) just plain ones maybe ceramic coated

Now, im gonna hve a muffler shop built the y-pipe and the cat back i want is flowmaster!! but i dont think they make a cat back system for a 83 firebird..does anyone know if they do, cause i really want flows!!!!

if i can get flows, i was just gonna pick up a dyno max system,
o and i got a 3" convetor on it.. i will just have the muffler shop do the pipe/cant back, im gonna put the header in my self..

what do you think?

I'm pretty sure you can find a flow, the only difference is the way they bolt to the cat, that I'm aware of.
I bought my Hooker cat-back that was designed for 83-85 and had to do some minor fabrication to make it work, it was the cheapest one, that's why I got that one.
Have you ever heard other exhausts, I'd say at least check out the Hooker cat-back, sound clip is in the signature, but it's sounds like you know what you want.
Good luck!

Some how, I doubt you're being sincere.

Actually,...........very sincere. In a joking manner of course. I think your sound clip sounds wonderful..Its actually the first time I've heard the Hooker before. Everyone around these parts runs Flows religiously. It's time for a change. How's the flow compared to a Flowmaster? And yes, again,...I'm serious.

I remember seeing a post a while back the aero chamber out flows the Flowmaster, but there were 2 other mufflers ahead of the Hooker. But I wouldn't spend the money to switch if you already have a flow, but if you want to sound a little different go for it.

I got the cheapest one $200, I think that was for the HO eventhough I have a 350.
The only difference is the way they bolt to the cat. The $200 one has a square flange to the cat-back, I just had it cut off and welded to the cat.

I have an 83 TA - no AIR tubes and no computer.

It has this on it:

Hooker catback part #16823 for 86-92 305/350 with engine codes G, F & 8. (I think G is for the HO L69 motor)

Hermoff Cat.

Heddmans (including y-pipe) part #68481 for 5.7 TPI w/AIR. Had to remove the AIR tubes and plug the O2. Big PIA re the AIR tubes but it all fitted on OK and sounds great.
