Installing my Tri-Y's and Cat-Back > > >
I'm going to be installing my Tri-Y's, Cat, and Cat-Back in my own single car garage with no electricity. I have a hack saw and basic tools and everything I should need for the install like all of the clamps etc. Since the Y-Pipe is about 3 inches shorter than it should be and the high flow cat is about 5 inches shorter than the factory cat I'm expecting I'll need to go to a muffler shop and have them make me a couple lengths of pipe for me to use so I get the cat in the right place. Once I get it all assembled I'm going to drive to a shop and have them weld everything in place.
How long should it take me to do the install? I've heard 2 days. Also, do you guys have any tips? I've heard I should move the A/C and maybe undo the motor mounts and lift the engine an inch or so if needed. I got some thread anti-sieze for the flange bolts, should I use it on the header bolts too?
This will be my first header/exhaust install ever on a 3rd gen
