1988 Camaro Base Model Parts Needed

I am looking for some parts for an 88 camaro base model. I need the two cylinders that hold the hatchback up. Mine no longer work and I have to use a broom stick. I also need a part that I do not know the name of. The closest that I can call it is ground effects. It is located directley under the drivers door and runs front fender to back. The previous owner ran of a speed bump wrong and put a nasty whole in it. I need this drivers side "ground effects". If anyone also knows the proper name of this part please let me know. I need somone close to terre haute, indiana or someone willing to ship at my expense. Thanks
Hank

I have a complete set of 92 ground effects if you want to convert both sides. They are different that the 82-90 ones. I am only a couple hours from IN.

Re: 1988 Camaro Base Model Parts Needed

hi there welcome to the forums yo

i have a set of good hatch struts i might give up. what are they worth ?

also 82 83 84 rocker gfx are different than 85-90 FYI

holes are in different places even on the fenders

ppl seem to not have any idea there were many different styles and that these things changed many times over the third generation

and tend to have no idea about the early 82 83 84 being different than all the rest.

each style years group has different holes so you have to modify add drill different holes to fit different styles/year groups

heres an 82 pass side one i have:

good luck!

Hey Randy, hows it going? IIRC 88 Camaros have a bunch of one year only parts. I am not sure about the GFX's but to me they seem different than other years Don't get me wrong, other year gfx'z might bolt up but there is something different about 88 gfx's. BTW hank_irwin I can get you the gfx if you can't find it, or if other years aren't the same.
