I had a motor plate in my 92 but it had a 12 point cage to attach the front motor plate. I am sure you could make something off the front uni body frame and strut tower to mount it.

it did clear up lots of room for my custom BB headers

I will be running a cage as well. Did the mid plateTake the place of the block plate from lakewood? or was it used as well?
While I have all of this torn apart, is it worth anything to move the engine, up,down, back forward?
Should I leave it in the factory position?
I've read some of your posts before, and you seem pretty knowledgable. Look for a more detailed post about my chassis, I'd like your input.

I used an aluminum front motor plate and a 1/8" steel mid plate from S&W racecars, we cut the firewall and moved it back to set the motor back 3 inches and up 1. then we had to cut the tunnel out and have a removeable aluminum tunnel installed. plus make a solid trans mount. all in all it was alot of work but well worth it when we scaled the car. I wish I had the printout of the actual readings but they went with car when I sold it. but it definently moved atleast a hundred pounds to the rear tires.
