Fabrication plans
I'm a long time member here, but haven't been around recently. Just happened to come across this board which appears to be new.
A friend and I are starting up our on fabrication shop.
Our goal is to make products that are equilivent to many of the big names out there, but cut the overhead to allow cheaper prices. Hopefully it'll work pretty well.
We've got some ideas on what to make, so far we're planning:
Rear Control Arms
Relocation Brackets (Already made some)
Front Control Arms
Panhard Rod
Torque Arm
Wonder Bar (but not sure if we can beat TDS price)
and a couple other items which include Frame mounts for TTA engines (which are discontinued at this point).
However, most of these are just the standard items you can find anywhere, is there any items that are not standard that people are looking for?
I've looked into maybe producing a polished alum. sheetmetal brace for the radiator. Since I know that's an item that no one seems to produce. Also, a couple other sheet metal items, but those are undecided yet.
If anyone has any ideas that they'd like to see produced we can give it a try. Please let me know.

Yeah, I can think of some.
1) The polished radiator panel is good, but I really need one that will work with my larger griffin radiator, thus allowing me to use my stock dual fan setup.
2) The front control arms are a good one also. I'd love a set of 4130 tubular arms that retain the spring perches and allow me to use del-a-lum bushings.
3) A 4130 tubular crossmember that will clear all 3 generations of small block chevy's and also big block chevy's would be good. It must be light-weight and allow ample header clearance, but still be well enought engineered to be strong enough for road racing and street use. Also it should have the option of spring perches, and modular motor mount pads to accomodate all of the previously mentioned motors. And lastly the option of mounts for a 4th gen style steering rack.
Spohn has promised me items 2 and 3 but I'm yet to see them.

You might want to look into performance and/or beautification items for the v6 platform. If you take a look at the v6 board, there's a ton of guys there that are in love with their v6, and won't think of upgrading, but finding parts for these engines can be difficult.
Most of the items you listed already are universal in their application and are already offered by a lot of people, but things like a strut tower brace for a v6 car are hard to find.
Just make sure you go through the proper channels here and look into becoming a preferred vendor, or your posts are just going to get locked and your business will go nowhere.

Ede has contacted me in terms of this. I'm not looking to take any business from anyone. I'm simply looking for ideas because I know many people don't have the time or access to the tools that we do.
I have also attempted to contact TGO in terms of advertising for later reference, and have recieved no e-mails in response to it.
Like I said, not trying to take anything away from anyone.

actually, i had a few ideas in another thread, but i donno where it is...

im finding that intake manifolds are insanly easy to make...
the catch is, making a GOOD working intake manifold.... part science, part art...
making somthing that flows good is easy.. making somthing that flows great is pretty hard.
mine doesnt have to be too complicated since its for a blower... really, anything will work.

We can do the other stuff you mentioned with ease. Maybe I'm making the actual intake harder than it really is. Sheetmetal intakes and such are very expensive, usually it's due to the time and research required to develop them.

i think that saves a good deal of time right there.
if there was a way to prefab some of it and mass produce it, the cost could plummit.... the goal being a intake cheaper then stealthram... prefably one that wasnt quite so tall so you can still use a STB.

Id like to see
Intake manifolds for the V6 model thirgens (like someone above said, we V6ers are in LOVE with our "puny" little engines. Perhaps making a manifold to accept a blower? Maybe one that retains the base manifold but replaces the middle/upper plenum, one that could accept a larger TB.

Also for the V6s
We can probably knock out the STBs for them with ease, just have to find a local car to get all the measurements from, and trial fitting. I assumed they'd work from the V8 version or either someone would have made them by now.

I got tired of wating on Sphon parts also. So I got my K-member and stuff here
http://hstrial-vhouse.homestead.com/our_products.html
They have K members for stock springs or coil over
Same with Tubular A-arms.
Price is cheap also. and Exactally the same pieces you would buy from PA RACING.
