has anyone ever converted the solid rear axle to a late model (85-up) corvette independent rear suspension? im sure some sort of rear subframe would have to be fabricated. i have a rear end out of a '97 Corvette
If you try doing a search, I think there is a member who has done this before. I stumbled on the post when looking for something else. It seems that it can be done, but I couldn't give you the details on it

very strong, good hooking IRS rear.
the IRS itself isnt a bad design.. its just that most IRS cars are powerless from the factory, so the rears are kinda weak.
