Custom Air filter "holder"??

Custom Air filter "holder"??
For a TPI setup. coming off a camaro and onto a trans am. need some ideas here. there wont be an airbox on the passenger side because the battery is there. so i thought a K&N filter but need to have that mount.
ideas? suggestions?

Engine: 283, 2.5,3.8 turbo 350
Transmission: powerglide,auto overdrive, th350,4L80
why not just move the battery to the other side like on the camaros its not that difficult to do
