Siamesing stock upper plenum?

So, I've read and read and read and still have a question. I have a TPIS intake manifold, SLP siamese runner and a stock upper plenum. I'm working right now on taking the EGR walls out and wanted to know this: The stock plenum air "intake" holes are sepearate from one another. The SLP runners are not though where they mate to the plenum. Will I f*ck anything up by siamesing the plenum air intake holes to match the SLP runners?

Survey says.............Nope, you wont hurt anything by siamesind the plenum. But DO NOT....I repeat, DO NOT siamese the base manifold, unless you wanna replace the motor. Port match the plenum to the gaskets and and remove the dividing wall, but dont go any further than port matching on the base.

Thanks. I figured it wouldn't hurt anything, I mean the SLP runners are siamesed for the first 2inches or so. "NOTE" it looks like TPIS bigmouth manifolds are gasket matched from the get go. They were atleast on mine.

There was a rumor a while back of a member (was it mike davis?) blowing cylinders (same cylinder twice) after siamesing the base.

Later they found it to be something else wrong with the motor, but the rumor of the base being at fault still stuck around.

Mike Davis is _one of_ the local guys that has had problems with ZZ4 engines. I'm not sure that I’m not mixing him up with someone else (there have been a few), but I'm pretty sure his wasn't built right from the factory (and a bigger part of the story was that it sat around for a while before it was used so it wasn’t covered under warrenty) and a few of the pistons/rings let go.... Nothing to do with the intake.

actually, it wouldn't be that hard to get exact details, just search on the net, he’s got a pretty good web site (I just don’t have time to look right now)
