what you think of this idea

cutting the stock runners like in the pic and Siamesing them by welding a piece of alumium in to even cheaper jb weld

if done cleanly would make the enging think the runner are shorter and better mid and high rpm power

Like this? Not mine, don't even remember where I got the pic. I do remember him saying that it did make a noticable difference up high.

AS&M runners are siamesed a little higher then the ones in the pic. Here is a pic of the AS&M runners on "fruityone" car.

Ouch, that sucks

You should buy a roller chassis and swap all your car's good parts over.

How bad is the damage?

i was thinking about doing that
i love the thirdgen trans ams mostly the 89 year but i think i might sell all i can and buy a truck

might have a buyer for the enigne and buyer for the trans

if i were to build another trans am it would be bigger then a 305 i was going to do everything because it already had a 305

the damage is bad
everything from the passanger door back is toast
shattered t-top, door and whole quater is gone, rear is all bent up, rim is done, back glass is gone

i will post pics

in a few days i will put up a ad in the classifieds with all the parts i can salvage

Well, if you end up parting it, there may be some misc. stuff that me, my brother, my dad, my g/f, or some of my friends can use. Were all thirdgenners

Did you at least make it out without injury? That's all that matters in the end, the cars can be replaced at least.
