Any ideas?
Anyone have any ideas of how I can rig up a motor to my liscense plate so all I have to do is push a button or flip a switch, and the liscense plate will fold down? (Just for showing off and intimidating, nothing illegal).

posting things like id make sure id do something illeagal with it is a good way to get this thread locked please dont post things like that......
if your just wanting it to fold down .....then run a cable to it thru the car and attach it under the dash like the brake and hood latch are then take the factory springs off the liscense plate bracket and switch them around to make them push it down instead of pull it up and fabricate a latch to hold it up when you push it up and then all you have to do is pull the cable and it will unlatch and open up pop...just like a hood
or you could get a window motor and mount a pulley onto it and do the same thing with the springs and run a cable from the pulley to the plate thru the trunk this will require drilling a hole for the cable and attach it and run some wires to it for power and install a third window switch in the console for it then when you want to lower it just hit down and let the springs pull it down as the cable loosens up and when you want to go up just hit up and wind it in ......should work just have to figure out how to mount the window motor in the trunk where it isnt really visable ......hows that sound??
hope this helps ya ....

Rig up a bracket and use a linear actuator to operate it so it slides down from under your bumper cover or something I've seen it done on pickups, and now they even sell kits for it.
And it's not illegal to want to hide your license plate at shows to impress the judges on your clean body lines, so they do have info on this if you look around. Like I said, I think it's StylinConcepts that has a kit now for trucks.
