I just recently went throught that exact swap in my 92 camaro, but sorry i don't have pics... and i'm too lazy to tear apart the center console again.
but, i remember what we had to do. The stupid thing with the unibody design of these cars, is that the center "hump" is completely different in manual and auto cars. we had to cut out the floor of my old 89 IROC. Just the section, just in front of that bracket that the center console bolts to. I forget the dimensions of the piece we cut, but it wasn't all that big. As a template, you can use the thick rubber shifter boot that's bolted to the 5-speed floorpan; that's what we used as the final trimming template. Then we bolted onto the 92's floor pan, sealing it up with silicone. If your using the stock shifter, you might have to also take the mounting brackets from an auto car... i have the megashifter, which uses a different front mount.
cutting out the old floor pan was a PITA thought, cuz first you gotta drill out all the spot welds.

Perhaps he prefers an auto for racing, as many many people do. Thats not the point though.

i hope this doesn't come too late, but I took some pics of the cut-out floor from my old IROC that's still sitting in the driveway. Like I said, i'm 2 lazy to take apart the 92 tho

you can see the cut-out part and stock shifter lock cable. that thin plate of metal is all there is to the trans/driveshaft tunnel. After seening this, I wouldn't reccomend that Jegster Torque arm to anyone.

yea but manual means you wont have to buy ballon type converters for nitrous or trans brake or new clutches and bands

Does it flex at all?I was thinking the same thing but put it on top from the inside Put temp spot welds in just to hold it then then cut all the access from the side and finnally weld it in.

Ill let you guys know how it goes prolly try to get it all done by sun.

it doesn't flex at all. well at least not any more than it normally would from the factory. we only cut out the floor from the old car, but the 92 wasn't cut at all, we simply laid the auto floor section on top of the manual, and bolted it into place using the same mounting locations used for the manual boot. this area didn't need to be welded in our application because nothing really puts any weight on it. The shifter mounts to the factory mounting point in the back, and the front one mounts in ahead of the cut out section.
