lambo door (again)

Flynlow mensioned someone that would install the hinges and install heavy duty struts instead of the standard struts for about $2,700.. If the problem is that the doors are too heavy why not buy a universal kit for $800 and buy some seperate heavy duty struts by themselves...$1,900 for the heavy duty shocks and labor??!?! i dont think so... the miami guys are too expensive. ive got a few friends that would sit down and figure this stuff out with me...

if all else fails measure in a extra set of struts and bolt them in.. this project isnt as hard as some of you think... i was in a customizin shop the other week and i was checking the kit out on a porcshe and there is hardly anything involved in this modification... basically just drill new holes in stock hinge location..

these kits are too expensive the lowest ive seen was about 750.. have u ever even seen what u get in these kits?!? im gonna by a kit and start making my own.... there overpriced and whats crazy is im willing to pay for it

this is something im getting done before i get my car painted.. so they can paint the lambo parts the color of the car... itll look cleaner call me crazy if u like...

just a hinge on a hinge.... course they've gotta be tough to take the weight of our doors.

but i agree that people are making too big a deal out of the difficulty of this conversion.

but keep in mind that the doors have to some form of outward radius as well not just a scissor hinge just by looking at the pic.

edit: n/m i see it now
