Rims that cool your brakes
Another crazy idea I have floating in my head.
If the spokes of your rims were angled, couldn't that pull air into your brakes to cool them off?
And with our stock style rims, what if we were to grind down parts of the spokes to accomplish the same thing? Would this affect the structural integrity of the rim?

I used to know an autox’er/road racer with a C3 vette that modified a set of rims with some corvair engine fans mounted to the outside of the wheel to pump air out… it actually looked pretty cool (think early 3rd gen TA bowling ball rims with a hole in the middle of the "bowling ball"). There’s a pic of a similar one in one of the suspension books out there that shows it in the rain actually blowing air out of the wheels (you can see the spray getting blown out of the wheels)

Those Corvette rims are sweet. (in the sense they are like a fan) Too bad, I don't like that style....but I'm curious to know if they would look better if they didn't have that metal disc thing in the front.....hmmm...
yea, my dad recentley bought this car
and the Rims are the 'turbine' rims which were made for this car in limited edition. its a pretty cool ride, id rather have a tt viper engine in a 1st gen myself.
