After looking at the model a bit we changed the font a little bit then cut two of them out of billet aircraft aluminum. This is what they looked like after machining

We are not sure how to finish them Chrome??? Chrome with paint??? or what??? IN this picture I just sprayed some black primer on it and wiped off the top of the letters with a rag.

How would you guys suggest we finish them? All suggestions welcome.

Polish em. Polished aluminum looks much better than chrome IMHO.

Looks good though, very clean. What is a ZZD?

ZZD is the name of our pro touring thirdgen project.... the name was inspired by an article in Chevy Hi Performance called Zig Zag & Drag where they got a thirdgen to pull more Gs on the skid than a C5.

Polished aluminum is cool.... but we want these to really stand out and also with polished aluminum you need to polish them every few weeks to keep them looking good.... whereas chrome you just wipe down with soap and water and its good to go.

Here's a few pics of the rest of the project... you can see the weight jacks sticking through the frame rail here:

You can see the strut mount spacers/camber adjusters on this one

This is the rear assembly

The engine has a might demon 650 on top now instead of that holley and the car looks pretty much like this:

but it is PPG sunset candy red (same as engine bay) and have a custom ducktail spoiler on the back instead of the "highrise wing"

Wow nice car! Like the billet emblem, I would do the black like you done it then polish the top surface as suggested then clearcoat the whole thing that way you have no maintainence issues. I always stick my stuff in the oven to cure the paint properly that way it gets really hard and you wont scratch it at all.
