Finally made my radio/ac/heat "delete" panel and shifter plate for pro stick shifter
After having a ****ty looking interior for a while, I deicded I might as well try and "Clean it up" a little, at least to make it look somewhat finished for now.....
Since I've got no heat or A/C, and no radio (not yet at least), I had this huge space where there was nothing, and it looked awful. Simpe enough, just cut out some sheet metal, painted it, and screwd it in place. My friend suggested I get a "Firebird" decal (like the picture of the bird" and put it there to sorta make it less "boring" for now, but I might put some gauges there eventually.....
Also, I went from having no console at all, just the pro stick shifter ( magnum grip / pistol grip), to using the console from my friends 86 camaro, but there was no shifter plate or anything because of the shifter, so I made a custom one that works with the shifter. Doesnt look perfect, but a lot better than before. I also re-located the switches for my fuel pump and electric fan to this panel and put some LED's to show whats on/off. Again, not pretty, but better than before. While I was at it, I painted the gauge panel as well, and it looks a lot better too. Still a lot of work, but progress is being made!
