Headliner
I was wondering if anyone has ever made a headliner out of sheet metal. I see a lot of people try to make them out of fiberglasss and arn't to successful. Do you think if you made one out of sheet metal and painted it really nice to match the interior color it would look good?

I'm sure it will get hot from the sun, etc. Also, it's not going to deaden the sound very good...just some thoughts.

I have some pieces of aluminum diamond plate that I'm gonna try to cut, bend and weld to fit my headliner. It has t-tops so it only needs three strips, the front and back and the one in the middle. I am an aluminum welder at Fountain Powerboats in Washington, NC and I can even use the metal brake to get the bends just right. Then I'll either polish it, or have it powdercoated. If I ever get around to it I'll will try to get some pics of it. My headliner is held togther with custom fishing string stitching ugly and ragged. So it wont be too long
