Ram Jet Questions

I currently have a TPi setup on my Vortec 350, thinking of converting to a Ram Jet Setup, but am having trouble finding part numbers for the Wiring Harness and the MEFI-3 or MEFI-4 Controller, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What would be the benifit to switching to the Ram Jet controller, if you still have your stock TPI intake (well minus the base since you have Vortec heads) if you want the ram jet look you can just switch to the ram jet manifold you can buy it from pace or scoggin dickey and put your injectors and all the TPI electronics on it. the only problems might come about for the TPS and IAC connectors but you could probly change all that stuff and make it work. The throttle body on the ram jet is the same as an LS1 or LS6.

The ramjet is a great intake and it makes killer power. Definitely use the TPI computer, don't waste your money on the ramjet computer and harness, it is completely unnecessary.

Check out all the links in the sticky on the alternative port EFI:

The ramjet crate engine makes 350hp with iron vortec heads a cam that is only slightly larger then the stock L98 cam. Imagine what that intake could do with some fastburns and a larger cam.

One great thing the Ram Jet intake looks a like LT1's but has the hole for the distributor. I've also heard that the Vortec heads are very similar to LT1's heads ports and things like that so with a good cam and Ram Jet intake the LT1's had better watch out. I'm tempted to try it if i have the money when i switch from my carb to fuel injection. But i will also have to get vortec or fast burn heads. so it will be awhile till i can make the switch. But what ever you do let us know. Sounds awesome

The ramjet intake may look like the LT1 but it preforms nothing like it. Most people don't realize that the ramjet intake is not a high RPM screamer, it is the perfect upgrade from TPI. It peaks at 5200 RPM on the stock iron vortec heads and ramjet cam. Also it has great low end, this intake is one of the best EFI intakes you can get for a street car in my opinion.
