Best place for hood pins

I just purchased a new pin-on cowl hood for my 86' Firebird. Where is the best place to locate the hood pins. I know the best place for the 2 pins in the front is to mount them on the radiator support. But to hold down the rear of the hood where is the best place to mount those. Thanks

Where ever works best. I only use the front 2. If you have to, weld on some gussets out from the cowl to move the pins to a location that works best.

OOPPPS. I just saw you already have a good place for the front mounting.

I made mine a fiberglass lift-off and used the old hinges to make a mounting point that attaches to the rear firewall top, and also bolted to the pinch weld of the frame rail of the fender and body. If you look closely in the photo you can see the mounting for the hood pin in the top center of the pic. BTW if have Mr. Gasket locking hood pins.
