Home made rod bolt strech guage

What do you think about my home made rod bolt stretch gauge . I test it on a old rod .006" of stretch give me 45ft lbs on the torque wrench

I've made many tools but that's one I never thought of making. What size material is it made out of? Any better pics?

Its made from scrap piece of soft steel electrical motor shaft & little of arc welding

That should work just as well as anything that would have cost a lot more. That's what we're talking abouit when it comes to fabrication.
