Does anybody know anything about Airco welders?..

Hey I need some help. I found this machine close-by and I've been wanting to pickup a tig welder for a while now. It's an Airco 251 Heliwelder - does anyone know anything about these? He says it needs repair ("the output power is low for the settings").

So I guess I have a couple of questions:

1. Will this weld aluminum? I can't tell if this has "AC/DC" output or just "DC?" (I still don't know a whole lot about tig welders so bear with me..)

2. He says definitively that it "will weld again." Do you think that it's fixable? Can you get parts for these? I can read schematics and am pretty good with electronics. I'm sure I could fix it or at least get someone to fix it.

And finally,

3. Is this a good machine? How much would this be worth in good working order?

Thanks guys!
