Motor Mounts
Anyone ever changed motor mounts on 84 H.O The bolts that hold them in place have nuts on the back of them and the nuts are in the crossmember!

Re: Motor Mounts
they sure are.
you can get to them through the a-arm pockets, i did it with the suspension still in the car, but its a LOT easier to do it with the a-arm off.

Re: Motor Mounts
yup, take the a-arms off. the easiest way to do it.
other than that, you need 3/8 extension, crows-foot wrench and a swivel joint. You can get to the nuts through the a-arms mount holes, and i think there are holes in the k-member too, but they are not all very helpful. You can see all the nuts, but you have to be a contortion artist. 1 person under the car, one on top holding a wrench on the bolt so it doesn't spin. have fun! I assume you have the motor out?
oh, and the nuts have washers on them too.
