1992 RS Interior

I've completely removed all the interior from my 1992 RS Camaro. Seats, carpet, everything down to metal. I want to buy everything new, does anyone have any recommendations on where to get interior pieces?

Re: 1992 RS Interior

Are you planning to change colors or are you keeping the plastic panels?

If you plan to change interior color, including changing the plastic panels, I'd highly suggest sourcing the replacement panels from wrecking yard's. Pick and choose. Keep in mind that the rear panels will need to work with the rear seat belts you currently have in your car. In your case, you'll want to find 90-92 rear panels and covers for the wheel well mounted seat belt anchor assemblies. The rear headliner retention panel needs to work with your upper mounted rear brake light assembly, here again find one with the cut outs already there. Also, you might be able to swap some Pontiac interior parts, and then again some wont fit, like under dash stuff.

Seats will swap. Lot's of folks choose to replace the 3rd gen seats with those out of 4th gen cars. That's easy enough. The only front seats that are unique (that I know of) are those found in some 3rd gen GTA's. Or are you going to go aftermarket?

For on-line shopping try; http://www.classicindustries.com or http://www.camarocentral.com or any one of the sponsers on this site.

Good luck with your project

Re: 1992 RS Interior

Yeah we were planning on keeping the same panel colors, but getting new panels because mostly everything in the car is cracked or broken. We are also going to go with an after market option with our seats. Thanks for the suggestions!
