Forming Polycarbonate....
I'v been kicking around the idea of doing a polycarbonate
hatch to replace the glass with, iv been doing some pricing i can get a sheet thats the about the same length, width and thickness of the hatch glass for around $60.
iv done small things in plexiglass before.
but nothing like this. i have a few hatchs that i can possabily use for forming. assuming they wont break.
does anyone have any experience with this? or made anything out of a smiler compound?

lay the poly over the stock glass and heat it up with a heat gun and let it sag.
You really need an oven to do a good job, but this might work...

I tried doing a hatch in Plexiglass many times and I broke lots of sheets. Plexiglass is very brittle and the heat gun doesn't produce enough heat over a wide area to get a good bend.
Finally gave up and bought some Lexan. Just about impossible to break it and it bends easily. All my windows are now Lexan.
My hatch isn't designed to open. I have a fabricated deck lid that can be removed to access the battery and the Lexan is riveted in place.
Trust me. It will be cheaper to just buy the kit from Jegs or Summit.
Finally gave up and bought some Lexan. Just about impossible to break it and it bends easily. All my windows are now Lexan.

Just for some readers:
Lexan = trade name for polycarbonate
Plexiglass = trade name for acrylic. (more brittle stuff)
