I was wanting to either put a custom made set of tail lights or black outs on my camaro....but I've see a few pics of cars with the amber lights changed to red....also has anyone ever done all the tail lights red including the reverse and done a sequential turn signal?? I would love though to see some more pics of that.....I am very interested in doing this.....also, can you tell me how you did it....i've heard of some using a transparent red spray on the inside of tail light.....does it match okay....how exactly does it done?? thanks for your help guys...

ya pretty much lol search been done a shitload of times. i did the signals. but they are peeling now.

 

I'm thinking of glassing over my tail lights and center section making it all one piece (RH side and center are broken), then I'll cut four round holes and mount "tubes" in them, allowing me to mount four round tail lights that will then sit flush.The panel would then be painted body color. I haven't decided if I'm actually going to do it or not, and also haven't decided how I want to do the back up lights yet
If I do it, I'll be sure to take LOTS of pics

There is an unbeleivable amount of pictures and threads on custom tails. So for a Senior member not to be able to find anything bugs the hell out of me.

A simple search for custom tail light will bring up a plethora of threads and pictures.

I just dont see a reason to help those who wont help themselves. These types of threads are what make finding things so damn hard, stop making new threads and start searching.

AND DONT JUST SEARCH HERE. Go to GOOGLE. Go to yahoo asnwers...anything. Just stop making pointless and already answered threads. Im sick of this. Almost every thread I go into is just another asking what has already been done. I dont think I have made a new thread in 1 1/2 years, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL ANSWERED I just have to find them.

 

I did search on them...info is sparatic and everywhere, either there is pics and no info on how they did it, or just people asking.....like you said...it the same thing like I just posted...asking something that's already asked....what I was trying to do it combine a thread....get everyone to post pics and information on ONE thread...I seach and search and once I get tired of that....I post a thread....I know i'm contributing to the problem...I spend two hours last night searching threads on CAI (found a bunch on firebirds and v6, but little on camaro) until I found what I was looking for....like 200 threads later....I don't like searching and searching for something that should be a simple find.....sorry but I figured instead of a bunch of post saying 'it's already been done', I could get people to actually post onto one page.....guess I was wrong....Sorry

 

Lots of amber to red conversions, but very few STS on Camaros. And NO Reverse clear to reds, much less WITH STS....on Camaros.

Totally understand that, then what you should be doing is starting a thread titled.

Custom Tail Light Information (Stock, Clear, Painted, LED)

Then ask for a sticky in which it will be built upon fairly quickly.

It will get better results, and state you are doing this. By the wording of your first post it just looks like YOU wanted information for yourself and not for everyone from everyone.

I will be going 82-92 who has done what, why, how. Provide their thread they started as well as others like.

Price of certain setups, products used, techniques....everything. Its a lot to research but well worth it in the end.

One day I will get to it and research it all for us.

No offense to you 91z, I understand, I did this as well when I started here....but its getting carried away especially since I am actually going to other forums and hearing how crappy TGO has been becoming. okay...I was searching under 'tail lights' ... didn't think to put in amber.......will check it out...thanks...again my goal here was to get everyone's ideas on one thread...not everywhere..but if you already have a thread, sorry didn't see it...was informed through a pm about some TGO people trying to combine like threads to clean up boards so I'll watch my post.
