Wiper Motor Mod Help!!!!!

I've got A question about whether or not its difficult to swap an old 82 wiper motor out for say a 92 wiper motor.. I've heard you have to modify the fire wall to do it but from the looks of it I'm not too sure about that.. I also need to be able to mod the 82 factory wiring for the motor to include the electric sprayer pump found on later models.. I've already swapped out the window fluid reservoir out,$ installed a new electric washer fluid pump and run the wires up to the factory wiper... just need help with the wiring from there anyone?????

Re: Wiper Motor Mod Help!!!!!

Oh, let me know how you do this!
I grabbed a new pump from an '86 or so camaro to reply my 1982 TA wiper motor. When I turn mine off it gives one last spray, which is very annoying... Also it only has low-hi speed, so i'd like to put in a new signal arm and have intermittent wipers as well....

Re: Wiper Motor Mod Help!!!!!

how did you wire your pump in? I was actually looking at this yesterday and think I may get a wiper motor out of my friends wrecked 92 z with intermitten wipers and maybe the piece of the firewall with it then just cut and paste so to speak...

Re: Wiper Motor Mod Help!!!!!

I haven't installed mine yet. The pump is sitting on my shelf.
I want to swap it in due to the problems I'm having...

Re: Wiper Motor Mod Help!!!!!

you could wire the washer fluid pump positive to the pink on the motor and then run the neg thru the firewall to a push button.. one side the pump neg and the other side to ground... that should enable the pump to work... i think thats what I will do in the meantime til I figure out the factory wiring and wiper pump replacement...
