A/C box removal, but heater still works

Here are some pics I just cut down the middle, added a little fiberglass resin and cloth plus some 3" dryer vent . Much cheaper than the one they sell.

that works.

I did sometihng similar a long time ago, i cut the ac box down to about 1" in height off the firewall, fiberglassed a new top and that was my ac delete box. I still have it, and it worked well. I swapped in a real ac delete box a while back, its a bit cleaner than the old setup.

I'm currently trying to find a way to get rid of the box completely and smooth the firewall while still retaining defrost....

Re: A/C box removal, but heater still works

are u talking bout getting rid of the blower moter to, the blower moter blows air through where the a/c use to be and thats where your heater core is . thats how you get defrost. you would some how put a electric heater in the dash to blow on the windshield if you want to do what your talking about. good luck

So you just cut where the blower ended and connected the dryer hose to the blower and fire wall?
