9" Ford!

Hey people! been awhile since i have been on. Starting to work on the 82' again and i wanna do a 9" swap. I have an axle already and all the brackets to weld on. I just need the mount for the torque arm mount. Does anyone know where i can pick up a mount kit or do i have to buy a third member? Any help is greatly apprecitated. Thanks

Re: 9" Ford!

Currie still sells the mount bracket. All the other brackets for the springs, shocks, panhard etc are removed from a third gen 9 or 10 bolt and welded onto the 9". Measure 3-4 times before welding.

Re: 9" Ford!

I removed all my brackets off a spare 10 bolt I had laying around. You really just have to grind the welds down and give thema smack witha hammer.

Re: 9" Ford!

My first 9", I went with ladder bars as a simple way to eliminate the torque arm. Third gens have a very low body in relation to the axle. The generic ladder bars I used had to pass through the floor. I had to cut and section the floor. My car was a track only car so I wasn't concerned about how ladder bars work on the street.
