You can obviously see that the top pic is the ashtray fliped open and the bottom is the ashtray flipped closed.

I understand after ericjon262 said that, but if it had been obvious to ME, I wouldn't have asked. I saw 2 steros in 1 pic.....

No need to be a ***** about it being "obvious", much less that it was already explained. Your post was 110% unecessary.

I think you are seeing the two photos with no space between them - note one photo is ashtray lid open, one is closed.

I really didn't mean to offend any one by saying obvious, my sincere apologies to any one whom i offend by that, it was completely unintentional.

BTW i did not see the ericjon post, it was on the next page. i thought i was the first to answer the question on the two stereos.

Once again. SORRY.

Thanks. I've decided to do it all at once. That way I only have to clean the paint off it once for welding and repaint it once. I missed this whole season anyways, car hasn't left the jackstands in a solid year now.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Haven't got anything real exciting done on mine lately, just fabbed up a couple plates for the strut towers... The larger ones on the side are for the engine front plate mounts, the smaller ones will be for a brace tube running back inside the car to the cowl hoop..... Also lengthened the upper strut mounts to accomodate the lowered suspension... Still have to do some fabbing on the inside of the mount for the coilovers to fit where I want them......

Hey radical,
Where are you planning on running that exhaust to? If I were to do a turbo set-up I've thought about running the exhaust in that same direction but cutting a hole in the fender and letting it shoot straight out. That'd be way too loud for a NA car, but the turbo might quiet it down enough.

Not doing a turbo... Just a set of fenderwell headers and outside exhaust similar to the mid 60's Vette option... Not enough room under the car to put an exhaust system on it, car sits too low..... Going to be a stroker engine with mechanical roller cam, don't want to choke down the exhaust with Y pipe underneath the car....Frame ties are taking up the little bit of room that was under the car anyway...

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Depends on how you plan on finishing the inner panels.... Will you be painting them, brushed finished, polished, or ??????

I think once you get the door handles in place and clean up the edges of the aluminum a bit it will look fine!!!! I used to polish the inside aluminum panels, but as I got older I've discovered that paint is a whole lot less upkeep!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, made templates out of poster board, transfered to sheet metal, hole sawed the holes, sent them to a guy to have the flaring done.

Is it just me or does that decklid look C3 corvette inspired. Correct me if i'm mistaken but it looks king of like of the C3 rear decklid, coincidence.... maybe. Either way it is way cool.

B&S 5.5hp lawn mower.
Polished head and piston. added a 0.000" head gasket, hotter plug and higher amp wire. K&N fillter. stright pipe with some muffling capabilities. modified carburetor and adapted a linkage to control the throttle blade. This mower spun an extremely high RPM at a almost wide open throttle to consistently keep it stable at such a high level of rpm the the blade had to be perfectly balanced. it was then field tested on many various items that one would find in a yard or in a alley, success!

lol at the lawnmower.
who would have thought... high compression mowers.
pretty cool either way though.
now just put it on a kart and it will really be cool.

btw, a HS buddy of mine emptied a half a tank of N2O into a lawnmower (50 shot i think) and it held for the entire 2-3 minutes
i guess briggs and straton really knows how to build stuff to last

Frank & BigMods... what are you guys planning on doing for the weatherstripping around the window/door... looks like you welded the plates to the flange that it attached over originally.

Otherwise, looks great, I've thought about doing the same myself.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Thanks guy's, I don't have any side windows on my car so no weather stripping is needed. I smoothed all that out Nascar style. I'm building my car like a IROC race car from the 80's, but with some modern stuff too like the plates on the A pillars. It will have a old school look to it Nascar style. But here is a better dash pic.......Frank

I'm putting weatherstrip back in mine. I didn't overlap the gussets with the original flange that held the weather strip. I took the original black weather strip "flange", put it on the car, scribed a line. Made sure my gussets didn't go in that area.

Dean, more pix of your center dump exhaust? I was going to do something similar after my IRS swap is done but I'm not sure I want to cut my rear bumper cover.

There's more to this than you can see in the pics. The trunk well has been cut and raised about 6". I originally had them under the bumper, NASTY looking. If you aren't willing to cut and raise it all, I wouldn't do it. Later, Dean.
