I Think I Could Make Those The Bends Arent Too Complex, And Id Make It So The Back Up Light Is Part Of The Whole Lens Too, No Separation Other Than The Light Bulb Color Themselves, And Either Chrome Or Black For The Inside Housing With That Reflective Paint Those Would Be Really Nice! My Dad Has A 96 Silverado 5.7 With The Same Tail Lights, And My Dad Is Impressed By What I Am Doing With My Camaro Lights

Diffuse the light pattern for better light coverage. Theyre used in ceilings everywhere. The guys on musclecar tv did a set of custom tails with a similar idea. It's not strong and easily cracks so it's topped with smoked gray plexiglass. I have red led bulbs for the 1157s and a white led bulb for the 1156. I'm having trouble finding a red 194 bulb here locally like Oreilys and autozone for the side lightbulb.

Re: Anyone Ever Fabricate New Tail Light Lenses?
Sweet Idea For Defusing The Light, Im Gonna Keep My Crystal Clear Look But I Have To Haze A Square Above My Black Splitter Line Or Else People Behind Me Would Be Blinded By 5 Super Bright LEDs loL Im Still Working On Getting Supplies To Finish Mine But Im In No Rush.. Especially Now That My Headlights Blew Up And I Cant Find A Bad Wire Anywhere! Soo... That Gives Me An Excuse To Re Wire My Headlights And Hard Wire In Some Relays So That I Have Lights On At Key Turn, And A Switch Off Over-ride. My Parking Lights Still Work Fine. And I Got Over 20 Blue LED 194 Style Lights Just For My Dash Console And Climate Control As Well As My Shift Indicator. So Far Just My Shifter And Climate Have The Lights In And They Look So Much Better Than Yellowish White loL
If You Get The 1157 Bulbs Its Better That They're Tower Style So They Shoot Back And All Around Onto The Reflective Part Of The Housing, The Cheap Auto Zone LEDs Were Only Back Firing And They Werent Close To As Bright As The Tower Style 1157 LEDs

No I Didnt See That He Left The Stock Reflector In The Corner, The Light Will Defenatly Reflect Thru His Defuser, But Its White. It Looks Red On Stock Lenses Because The Lens Is Red. On Mine IDK If White Will Fly Or If Ill Have To Tint Them Red loL

Re: Anyone Ever Fabricate New Tail Light Lenses?
Putting Clear Coat On The Acrylic Will Give It A Rough Semi Transparent Look On The Inside And Could Also Work As A Diffuser. Im Gonna Put 1.5 Inch Squares Where The Bulbs Are, Shouldnt Be Able To See Them Until I Hit The Brakes Or Blinkers

I don't like my lights right now until I find better bulbs. The autozone LEDs are crap.

Ahh, I didn't think about the color and yeah you might have to tint the lens or something. Good point.

Re: Anyone Ever Fabricate New Tail Light Lenses?
Ah damn actually I just **** canned the project. I was tied up on the reflector having to be red... um actually, now I dont care, but I dont have those tail lights anymore, next time I get a pair I'll cut them or separate them better and roll the acrylic better, also without doing the black stripe in them like I did, cus now my tastes have changed lol. What I did do, was swap in a 350 out of a 1990 van. Its a very stout motor, but it burnt up my transmission.. Im trying to raise $400 to get a Camaro with 2.8 V6 but it has a 5-spd transmission. Yea.. 350 and a 5 speed, I'll be a very happy person lol.

Re: Anyone Ever Fabricate New Tail Light Lenses?
Yea, I remembered that the V6 is a 60 degree engine compared to the V8s which are 90 degree engines, I would need another bell housing, plus I dont think a T5 from the V6 will handle the power of a 350. Just taking a guess on that. Now, I do know a guy that has alot of random Camaro IROC parts, one being a T5 straight from a 350 IROC. He's gonna sell that to me, along with the fly wheel, clutch, the pedals and everything. So Im waiting for that.
