well im a strange person so ofcourse i would think of a strange idea

so heres my idea take the back glass off my t-top car and build up a fiberglass peice (back seats already gone) similar to the fiberglass cover for convertibles and the two seat roadster conversion type cars it would go under the b pillar over where the rear seats used to be and would have a hinging rear section for a trunk lid. to put a window in there could be a peice of lexan or similar material to fit the rear roof section and down like a notchback which would be mounted on the scizzoring mechanism of a mechanical door or electric door whichever and can be rowwed down to give a more free air type feel when the tops are off plus all the extra weight couldnt hurt since i got a little bit of traction problems from time to time...... any thoughts..............feel free to call me an id..iot i dont mind lol

 

So what your suggesting isn't really a true back-half? More of a custom notch back or rear hatch of some sort? Sounds interesting enough. Get to work and show some pics.

sounds like a interesting plan, and a complicated one. Would be cool to see it done.

 

With enough time, money and fabrication skills, anything is possible. Just takes lots of planning and the desire to get in any modify the car to something different but once you start, there's no turning back.
