often overlooked & not used is a hot glue gun . i use mine often . today i removed wiper arms & cowl vent screen to fix a washer hose leak . while i had the vent screen off i cleaned all the trash & leaf's underneath . it was full of trash . anyway i wondered how so much trash got under there . i looked and saw that the screen was not attached in many places to the plastic . hot glue gun time , with it and few clothes pins i sealed it all up the way the factory did not . anyway , i use mine for door plastic sheets , to hold a nut in place , and lots of interior work . just a reminder of a good tool that is often overlooked . good luck .

 

Though good for many of ideas you have listed, just remember hot glue is not a very weather resistant item. It will work for a while but can degrade over time when exposed to the elements.

 

There was once a weather-resistant type made by sears back in the early '90s for their "Industrial" guns. I bought a 50# case of it back then. They quit making it in the early 2000's and I've only got about 100 sticks left. Love my cordless glue gun. Very handy for all kinds of things.

 

It's a tool I use for car-related stuff but not much for the cars themselves. I use it for shipping to make custom size cardboard boxes stronger or when flipping a box inside out so nobody sees the printing. Then I ship car parts in the boxes.

 

i havent used it that much, the only time i used it was to put small drops on the door to hold down that plastic and glue those clips back on to the headliner material. thats it. useful yess......cheap yess......but not always the best solution
