i came across this picture on the internet, i really love the custom chin spoiler & would like to know how it was done. im sure someone on here has seen this camaro, i know it caught My eye lol

from the looks of the license plate i'd say it was in japan . to me it appears that the chin spoiler was just painted to make the grill opening look bigger . good luck .

 

no its actually cut open and molded. i painted my front bumper on my old 87 the way that one looks but thats actually a opening.

it just looks as though they took the stock aero gfx, cut some of the mouth part out and remolded it like everyone said, then extended the black downwards to make it look even more open

 

thanks for the input fellas. i guess you would have to be good with fiberglass for it to come out looking this good. i knew it was jap because of the plate. i really like how tasteful they did it (no body kits, no huge wing, no r.i.c.e.y paint job, etc..) & i also like the way those wheels look on a thirdgen from that angle. i still dont kno whats up with the electrical tape on the headlights & turn signals though

that car is race prepped, the tape is supposed to help keep the peices of glass/plastic from dropping out easily if broke

 

I think it´s mandatory on some racetracks. If you get hit by a stone or something and lens breaks -> most pieces stay glued to the tape, not all over the track.

I wish we would here more from those folks over in Japan. For the most part they have some clean looking mods for third gens. Maybe just the language barrier I guess.

 

Yeah the tape is mandatory for street cars on tracks although here in the states they dont let us use electrical tape. lol
