IROC-Z AIR INTAKE TRANSPLANT TO TRANS-AM

ANYBODY TAKEN AN IROC-Z 5.7TPI 2 INTO 1 AIR INTAKE AND TRANSPLANTED IT INTO A TRANS AM GTA 5.7 TPI ??? I WILL BE DOING JUST THAT AND LOOKING FOR POINTERS. WILL POST UP PICS SOON.

It will clear..... IF you cut the crap out of the bottom of the hood.
Dont do it.
look for and buy a used SLP cold air kit and b happy.
No need to try n reinvent the wheel.

Ttop350 is right, it will only clear if you cut off all the supporting braces from the underside of the hood. I bought a camaro airbox like the one you are talking about and tried to make it work, but once I realized I would have to remove the hood braces, I dropped that idea. I was afraid that the hood would tweak and bend over time as its opened and closed without those braces.
