Strut tower brace
Ok folks I'm asking for a little mercy here. I am on an extremely tight budget, it takes all that myself and the wife makes to get by. Therefore leaving nothing to just blow on my mistress. So what I would like to know is anyone who has a tbi car and has a strut tower brace could you take some measurements and shoot them to me. I work at a plant and we do all our fabrication work and I have the means and material to make this but I need a starting point. Hate to sound like I'm bumming off ya but I'd really appreciate the help and maybe I'll be able to return the favor one day.

Re: Strut tower brace
here you go, all the measurements are from the approx center of the bends, the brace is made from 1.25 Od tubing with IIRC a .083 wall thickness, could be .095 mounting brackets are all 1/8 material. Hardware is either 3/8 or 5/16, i didnt measure.

angles of the 2 main tubes are listed, they are approximate, i could not find my angle finder.

if you notice in this pic, the front crossbar with the 3" offsets is angles slightly down, not sure if this is needed or not, but i assume its for firebird hood clearance
sorry, they are sideways for some reason. It will make you work a little.... writing is smaller than i hoped, if this does not work, i can fix it and make it bigger

Re: Strut tower brace
its for sale in the classifieds, had some "tire kickers", but no money yet. Its in good shape, but not perfect, has some scuffing of the powder in a place or two, some wear. I bought it used, never used it personally. the mounts could use a repaint, as you can see from the pics. teh bar is pretty good, its just dirty
