Connecting Lokar 9" E-brake cables to third gen stock e-brake cable bracket?

Hi Guys. I am in the process of putting a Quick Performance Ford 9" rear end in my 92 RS. I opted for the Explorer type disc brakes with the internal drum style e-brakes found inside the rotor. Mike at QP included the Lokar e-brake install kit (cables, brackets, etc) that work with the Explorer type brakes.

Has anyone connected this type of kit to their stock e-brake bracket found under the car in the driveshaft hump? If you have please let me know what you did and how it worked.

Thanks for the info!
