I searched for hours on this and other sites and really only came up with a few options that I wasn't really crazy about so I figured I'd share what I did for my mine. Most of the switches I saw were installed high behind the license plate and the plate wouldn't fully close. Others were in the taillights and I didn't want to drill into them or the bumper. Some had to cut their interior plastic because the switch stuck out.

So I drilled just center below the key hole and it fits fine. My plate closes fully and interior fits over it without having to cut it. The only extra fabrication was that I had to cut a small piece of metal above the switch to get it to fit. The metal that I cut out doesnt affect the integrity of the hatch lock, and the switch sticks out just as far as the hatch locking mechanism. Let me know what you think.

I used a resettable breaker but you have to lift the trunk lid to get to it. It is more of a theft deterant and safety (fire) feature than anything else. It is on top of the battery which is in the trunk on the passenger side. I used the umi battery box and bolted it to the frame where the spare tire used to be.

Thats exactly where I put mine. Plate closes just fine too. I did have to trim up the plastic piece though because I did not like how I needed to route the cable to the battery. Wanted to keep it short.
