Hey all been away from tgo for some time. Been lurking around for the last few weeks trying to regain interest. My car is a 92 rs anniversary. Took out the drivetrain a couple years ago to paint the engine bay and drop in a low mile 350 tpi auto. Found my strut tower and wheel wells, as well as my floor pans shot.


Been thinking back some and remember a deathtrap of a device i made in a hurry. A fuel pressure regulator for a quick drop in carbed 355 I liberated from a foxbody. I was broke at the time and my grandfather passed away that week and i wasn't to keen on driving my rusted old 6.5 diesel with no reverse in the procession.

I removed the top of a tbi unit, cut the spring down a little bit at at time till I reached 6 lbs. drilled and tapped it for pipe thread and jammed a nipple in there. To top it alll off the injectors were leaking under pressure so I had to poop up the tips with some jb weld...

I should have died a fiery death, or worse.




I still have it on the shelf in the storage unit if anyone need better pictures of it. LOL

I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with the regulator or the elaborate spider web of zip ties

 

If only i had this technology at the time!
